Via Cabos is an artistic photobook that reveals the hidden poetry in the tangled webs of electrical cables crisscrossing urban skies.
Ale Piazera invites us to see beauty where many see only chaos: wires weaving through landscapes. Between 2020 and 2023, the artist documented her findings while exploring her city, Jaraguá do Sul, and surrounding areas, merging the ordinary with the extraordinary.
With a visual narrative that reflects the tension between order and disorder, Via Cabos transforms the mundanity of electrical cables into art, exploring how they frame our cities and shape our relationship with the landscape. A work for those who seek to see the world from new perspectives.
LAUNCH EVENT:
On February 1, 2025, the book launch took place at Praça Ângelo Piazera in Jaraguá do Sul. Ale Piazera participated in a conversation mediated by architect Marie Nasario, engaging with the audience. It was a rich exchange about the book’s development but also about the everyday experience of living with electrical wires.
